Who are we? 

We are a small, friendly Society based in Knutsford, but we have members from out of town as well. Our main aim is to bring amateur theatre to the area, and have great fun while doing so. It is a great way to make friends and have some fun. Knutsford Amateur Operatic Society was established in 1943 and over the years we have performed a variety of shows. Follow the link to see list of shows 

What could you do? 

There are so many different aspects to the Society that there is something for everyone:
Acting/singing/dancing—if you’ve always wanted to tread the boards then come and try it out.
 
Backstage—help with props, scenery and other vital work backstage
 
Wardrobe—costumes can make a show, and gives impact, a vital job
 
Front of House—on show night, all our guests have to be looked after
 
Publicity—skills are always needed to help promote and market our shows
 
Producing and Musical Direction—we always welcome experienced Producers and Musical Directors, it gives a chance to explore new avenues and challenges

Audience - always important of course - Come and see the shows and support the Society
 
Social events -  come and join us for a variety of events, meals, BBQ's,  theatre trips etc
 
Admin  -  Committee and organising events. There is a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to get a show on the stage. All skills welcomed
